I went to the big apple!!!! It was so amazing to go to New York. My Nephew Daniel invited me along for his trip and of course I said yes. We had the time of our lives. We went to several broadway shows that were amazing! Moulin rouge was decadent! The set was so dreamy and very Red! The performances of the cast was on point and I just loved every minute of it! We also went to see his friends off broadway show and that was a real treat! We met up with one of his friends who was a cool dude and then our seated were right at the stage! His friends show was awesome and I loved all the music! My favorite broadway show was Wicked!!! It was magical and colorful and amazing! the cast was great our seats were great and I will never ever forget it! We walked in central park and what a great park it is! Went to Strawberry Hill and that was amazing to see the people and musicians who played Beatles music and I left a painted rock there! Miss you John Lennon. We went to a great restaurant called Carbone and had the most incredible food. I finally had my first official "slice of pie" in New York at a place called Stellas, yes of course I had to yell STELLA! If you know then you know. We went to a place called Juniors and had the best burger but their New York cheesecake was the best Ive ever had! Times Square was fun and lively and i loved the ambiance! We sat in for a taping of Andy Cohens show Watch What Happens Live and we saw Dionne Warwick! That was a really fun thing to do and Andy was so nice. We walked the High line which is an old above ground railway turned into a walkway and was fun. I absolutely loved our day trip to the Statue of Liberty and /ellis island! No trip to New York would be complete without going there. The ferry ride to the Statue was so fun just due to the anticipation of seeing her in person. We climbed to her feet as that is as far as you can go now. It was surreal. The museum is great to so don't forget to check that out. I wish wee had more time but Im so fortunate that we were able to go there. Ellis Island was amazing to be able to stand on the same ground as my ancestors who came here from Ireland and also when we left and went back we got to go to the original Castle Garden where my actual great grandparents came to the USA through. It is very small and is a round brick building and that was so amazing. I would have to say the one negative was the Mexican food! LOL! the flavor profiles were not very good. My enchiladas tasted like Italian sauce on them rather than the robust flavors Im use to. But all in all my trip to The Big Apple was amazing and the best part was to be able to do this with my nephew Daniel who is battling stage 4 colon cancer. I was honored he wanted me to join him for one of his bucket list trips.
Be kind everyone.

I was able to go on vacation to New York at the beginning of March with my nephew and we had the time of our lives! New York is such a great city and we were so fortunate to see Moulin rouge and Wicked!! Talk about lucky! We also saw an off broadway show with one of my nephews friends and that was super fun! Of course the Statue of Liberty did not disappoint and thought it to be magical! Im hoping to be getting back to a routine with my art again and I'm looking forward to creating more exciting items! I am also very excited that I am able once again to finally teach my mandala art in person! WooHoo!! I taught my first in person class in my hometown thanks to a wonderful friend who is letting me use her studio to teach in. We had such a great turn out and everyone was having such a really fun time. I will be having another class and am really looking forward to it! So that is what I am up to so far this year. Peace to you all. Tami Happy New Year everyone! I hope that this new year brings you all health, happiness, peace & love. I am very excited to start this year off with some new items that I have been working on and I'm hoping to unveil soon. I will be a vendor to many craft fairs this year and I hope to see you at some, or all of them? I am holding a few paint classes this month as well and if you go to my store, tamisartcreations.com/store , you can take a class or two. What are your goals for this new year? My goals are to spread as much art and joy as I possibly can to the world. Here's wishing you all the things you want for this new year!
Cheers! On December 2, 2019 I was invited to be a vendor at All About Jackie's event for Christmas. I was one of seven vendors who participated. this is a yearly event and all of the vendors this year were all hand crafted items for sale. We had a candle maker, a Happy Jar and positive saying bracelet maker, a home decor sign maker, a crocheter, a home made caramel sauce maker, All About Jackie Soap maker and myself! It was a really great turn out.
I held a paint pour class with a swipe technique called The Wave. I had 12 people attend this class at BackRoad Vines in Fairfield, Ca. The day was a perfect warm fall day in the middle of the vineyard. we had some good wine and lots and lots of laughs! the students were all so amazing and i just love to see everyones interpretations of the technique. We had a nice little charcuterie tray , cookies and grapes! OH! And wine! LOL! I just love teaching this art medium.
Hi everyone how are you?? Ive been super busy trying to get my business off the ground and so far its slowly working. Its very exciting to figure everything out! There is so much to learn and my head is reeling! But, I am so excited to be able to be a vendor for the Up Bay Pride Festival here in my hometown of Benicia, California! I am excited to see all the different vendors and the music lineup looks amazing! Ive been painting like crazy trying to have enough stock to sell at this event. Ive got my wonderful husband who is willing to load up all my supplies, tables, tents chairs etc and to help me set up the tent! Whew! Plus i have some amazing friends who are willing to show up and help too! I am truly blessed! I will post more after the event! Ta Ta For Now!
Well my first paint pour workshop was a huge success! I sold 24 tickets and 19 people showed up. The students were all very skeptical at first but once they watched my demonstration they were pouring paint like crazy! Everyone poured on a 4x4" tile first so they could get their bearings on their color choices and how the paint felt when manipulating it. I loved hearing all the laughter and the cheers towards each other as they shared their paintings! Great bunch of students! Note to self though. NEVER EVER FORGET THE PLASTIC TABLE COVERINGS!!!! I had to bring home 4 12 foot round black linen tablecloths from the venue and wash and scrub and wash and scrub and wash and scrub until all the paint came out! Whew! Lesson learned!Come out and let loose, have fun and be a kid again while experiencing the joy of creativity with fun and easy acrylic pour fluid art! This is a must try for anyone skeptical about their artistic talents! Have some great Backroad Vines wine and Relax!
